As the seasons change, so does the weather, & with it, the needs of our skin. The shift in temperature & humidity can leave our skin feeling dry, dull, & lacklustre. But fear not, with a few simple changes to your skincare routine, you can keep your skin hydrated & glowing all year round. Here are some tips to help you through the change of seasons.
Hydrate from the inside out
Drinking plenty of water is crucial for keeping your skin hydrated & glowing. The recommended daily intake is eight glasses of water per day, but this can vary depending on your activity level & other factors. Try to drink water throughout the day & aim for hydration-rich foods like watermelon, cucumber, & citrus fruits.
Switch up your moisturiser if needed
During the cooler months, heavier moisturisers may be necessary to combat dry skin. We love layering our HempTonic Face Oil with our HempRestore night cream for extra hydration before bed. This will allow you to wake up feeling rejuvenated!
Protect your skin from the sun
Even when the weather is cooler, the sun's rays can still damage your skin. It is crucial to protect your skin with a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Apply sunscreen to all exposed skin, including your face, neck, & hands.
Use a humidifier
As the air becomes drier during the change of seasons, a humidifier can help add moisture back into the air & prevent your skin from becoming too dry. This is especially important if you spend a lot of time indoors with the heating on.
Don't forget your lips
Your lips are one of the most delicate areas of your face, & they can become dry & chapped during the change of seasons. We love to use our HempTonic Face Oil on our lips for really high-quality moisturising!
By following these simple tips, you can keep your skin hydrated & glowing all year round, especially during the change of seasons. With a little extra care, your skin will look & feel its best no matter what the weather brings.
